Pros

Working at Noble, gives me the chance to be surrounded by staff and students who work relentlessly towards one common goal: giving each of our students a wide array of opportunities and choices for college and their future. This seemingly lofty goal becomes achievable because of the day-to-day work that is done. I am constantly motivated to become a better teacher because of the commitment of my colleagues, the hard work done by our students, and the belief that even my little effort when matched (and normally exceeded) by others can change lives. This is an amazing place to work if you want to be inspired to be your best self.

Cons

It is a challenge to balance the knowledge that there is always more that you can do for your students and the reality that to be a great teacher, you sometimes can't do it all at once.

The leadership team and co-teachers are very welcoming and helpful to newly hired members.

Cons

Each day presents significant challenges; therefore, new teachers must acquire skills and perform responsibilities with precision and efficiency to minimize mistakes.

Pros

Decent pay, pretty great benefits, pension,

Cons

Many. No feedback on performance, different noble school allow paras to get summers off, paid/unpaid, must work all summer. It’s so inconsistent. LBS1s at times don’t do their jobs and expect para to lead, yet we don’t get paid for that, prioritize test scores and gpa gaps but not actual learning, all teachers are expected to pass kids at the end of the year. Standards base grading is absolutely hurting these students and their retention in college.
