Pros
It is a great working environment, they really care about employees, there are a lot of benefits even for interns. It is a really friendly and open environment. People are helpful and friendly, the place is nice and clean, we got everything we needed to perform our job, working hours were very flexible yet still people managed to be efficient. It is easy to perform independent research as well as to work with the groups.
Cons
The research division at least in Palo Alto is still young, there are not enough people with an adequate level of expertise in key fields for the technological areas they are trying to tackle now. This is probably natural and will be solved as time goes by. As a direct effect, most senior members used to work in different areas don't have clear ideas on what direction to take sometimes.
