Pros

Pretty good benefits, vacation days, flexible work schedule, Bonuses are paid out when business unit and company kit their Key performance indexes. Have not be at the 100% payout level since Alcatel-Lucent was acquired by Nokia.

Cons

Constant layoffs and pressure to reduce staff - move jobs to lower cost countries, Management has struggled for many years and implement headcount reductions without regard for work and have a plug and play mentality where experience and knowledge is not as important as headcount. Experienced employees are laid off when there is still work to be done - other employees are moved in to do the same work which kills what little morale is left. Most years there are no raises in the US or they are very minimal. A new round of layoffs of 10,000 employees was announced at the beginning of 2021. If you can find another employee go there. If you just need a job you can probably make due here until you are laid off.

Pros

The core technologists and Bell Labs are great to work with. As a Finland based company, their benefits packages are better than benefits from typical American companies.

Cons

The brain drain in Operations and OSS is shocking and only getting worse. Salespeople are lying to customers to make sales happen, only to further embarrass everyone involved with incompetent delivery. The push for Data Center and the $1Billion Nvidia investment for AI-in-Everything makes Nokia the latest "Tech Bro", AI-First disaster.
