Don't invest your time, skills, and knowledge in a company that doesn't invest in you. - Health Coach Noom Employee Review

Pros

Work from home and flexible hours but that's it.

Cons

Coaches are undercompensated for the absurd amount of work they are expected to do. Management preaches day in and day out about how constructive criticism is welcomed and accepted but when they hear coaches talking with other coaches about being unhappy they don't give any warning and fire them immediately. Literally immediately. Management acts like they are the only ones with opinions and thoughts that matter and if a coach or entry-level employee brings something up that differs from their opinions it gets dismissed, ignored, or shyed away from. The company wants "professional" conduct from its coaches but the management and others in positions of authority throw around the F word and many, many other curse words in meetings like it's nothing. Then a coach voices their concern in a conversational way, free of profanity and gets let go. Meetings just about always start late but you are expected to be in on time and wait around for whenever management decides to start them. The company says they promote a healthy work-life balance however being on their health care plan is almost as expensive as going to a physician without any coverage at all. Want to take a personal or sick day? Their coverage protocol that they have in place does nothing that they say it does. You'll come back form your time away with 3 times as much work to complete and when you bring up the concern you'll just be told, "sorry". No one in this company's management stands up for what is right, no one in this company's management can act on their own volition, and no one in this company's management can go against the grain even when it's the right thing to do.

Pros

Great company to work for, hybrid schedule, generous PTO, office snacks

Cons

Let me start by saying Noom has been the best job I ever had. That being said, the culture has been slowly changing. A few years ago we got a new CEO and he's been bringing in all his people from his previous company. At this point half of the company is from the CEO's previous company. Not necessarily a bad thing on its own, except that the people that come from his previous company are receiving preferential treatment when it comes to promotions, salary, opportunities. At the same time, people who have been at Noom for a long time are bieng put on the back seat, and a lot of people even being pushed out
