Pros
- Great co-workers - Option package - Working from home - Semi flexible hours - PTO
Cons
I cannot run out of poor things to say about Noom. Health coaches and project manager working within coaching are paid some of the lowest salaries in the industry, and "performance based" isn't in their vocabulary when it comes to recognition or salary increases. The company culture is the definition of "toxic positivity" and they refuse to work on anything that isn't surface level or can be used to further the performative activism they do so well on LinkedIn. Even though Noom has "affinity groups" for minority groups, these groups are not protected. Noom regularly violates federal law in not providing separate standards for disabled employees, denying ADA accommodations, refraining from termination based on race, outing LGBTQ+ employees in the name of "DEI" and "community-building," and more. Coaches, who are already severely underpaid and gaslit, are not allowed to have any kind of coaching-related side work at risk of termination. Take off sick, and be prepared to come back to an insane amount of work due to Noom's inability to properly manage PTO and time. It breaks my heart to see Noom project such a positive public image when their employees are suffering. I hope this review deters at least one person from applying or accepting an offer - you deserve better.
