Pros

2 weeks sick time /2 weeks vacation/ and a one time offering for 2 weeks of covid pay. A $75 book budget for development. Decent company contribution for health insurance. Virtual events with celebrities.

Cons

-Almost insultingly low pay - They don't offer 401k contributions but say they take care of their employees because they offer a virtual paint and wine night -They don't offer holiday bonuses or quota bonuses, underpay their employees and have literally removed annual bonuses and cost of living bonuses...while holding this new incentive structure over our head. They call it "Ladders" and it is a joke. They've had us aiming for standards on Ladders while not knowing what we'll be paid for meeting increased standards. Noom believes in getting their employees to work for free and call it volunteer work and say you'll have the chance at getting a promotion. Now literally an hour before people were supposed to start having meetings to talk about evaluations and we were supposed to be notified of raises - an email went saying that it would be pushed out ANOTHER 2 weeks. This has been the case for 6 months. Morale is low. Employees are feeling underpaid, unappreciated, and jerked around. -Noom has lost it's vision and is handling things badly. From lawsuits from users about bad billing practices, bad marketing practices, and unhappy employees whose comments and concerns are dismissed with token lines like "that's a great question", "so what you're saying", and "we really need to lean on the principle of trust right now. Kudos to every noomily sisters and brothers"

Pros

Great company to work for, hybrid schedule, generous PTO, office snacks

Cons

Let me start by saying Noom has been the best job I ever had. That being said, the culture has been slowly changing. A few years ago we got a new CEO and he's been bringing in all his people from his previous company. At this point half of the company is from the CEO's previous company. Not necessarily a bad thing on its own, except that the people that come from his previous company are receiving preferential treatment when it comes to promotions, salary, opportunities. At the same time, people who have been at Noom for a long time are bieng put on the back seat, and a lot of people even being pushed out
