Pros
- Excellent work/life balance. - Opportunities to implement worthwhile stuff. - Genuinely friendly coworkers.
Cons
- Antiquated, political technology leadership. Management is short-sighted, self-serving, and the people running the show are NOT technical nor do they have the desire to think technically. - Over-reliance on contractors and offshore resources. - A lack of direction or vision. - Data engineers are sorely needed in higher supply. The data organization is outdated, plain and simple. They view their constituents with contempt, and will only ever take on work if it has a direct benefit towards them. - Grossly incompetent business users, who are technically inept in a way above and beyond that which I've ever seen at other companies.
