Pros

If you are interested in any high fashion apparel and couture, this is the best place to work! You get to experience first hand what your buyers are looking for in todays fashion and you see a representation of that at the store. The employees are extremely kind and are genuinely out there to help you. Also, the Human Resource teams are always fabulous and extremely understanding and have a good knowledge of what the company stands for.

Cons

The management is extremely disrespectful to their employees and have absolutely no understanding towards them. Management also tends to gossip about their employees to other fellow employees which always ends up causing disputes. Favoritism is a huge problem and if you can not handle a cut throat environment for your bosses preference, this is not the place to work. In addition, be very careful of your fellow employees, even if they act as your friend, they will scheme behind your back the first chance they get.

Pros

Good commissions, good teamwork overall.

Cons

Lots of physical work, putting back the shoes is challenging. Sometimes my coworkers would be too competitive.

Pros

Decent base pay, somewhat autonomous, great tip potential.

Cons

The company has changed for the worse since COVID. When I came back the mood of the entire store had shifted. Gone were the days of comradery, customer focus, and taking pride in a job well done. In its place there is a new culture of cutthroat sales, a severe decline in customer focus, and worst of all a new focus on profit over customer satisfaction. When I was told that the amount the store charged for a shoe shine was not enough to do the best job I could for a customer I knew things had gone downhill for the company. Not to mention I watch a manager prey on a mentally disabled person in order to secure a sale, when the person could not understand what was being offered. Sad that such a once great company is now just another greed ridden corporation.
