Pros
-The pay for the position was pretty good, at $14.86 an hour, for a Loss Prevention Agent in retail. Not to mention company gives your a $1.00 raise every six months, until you max out. -The company will promote within, if you stick it out that long.
Cons
- The training program was extremely annoying, especially since I have been in this field for over five years. - The apprehension quota need to get thrown out the window, should focus more on operational recoveries, and the shrink number, and how to reduce it. Most of your shrink comes from internal problems anyway, including your stock team making mistakes. This company sees the shrink coming from external. - No team work once so ever, I only had one other person that worked with me, but we would only work 2 hours together, kind of hard trying to make company apprehension quotas by yourself. - Store manager at my location decides when he wants to close the store. the store was always scheduled to close at 9:30pm, we did not close the doors until 10:00, and I was supposed to leave at 10:00pm, when everyone is out of the building. So on those nights, I did not get out until 11:30 pm, not to mention they are against overtime. Also on Christmas eve, we did not get out until almost 12:30 in the morning.
