Pros
Strong formal processes, learn the right way to do things. IT is run relatively well. No screaming, no shoving. The people are wonderful and you will make many friends here.
Cons
Consensus driven on everything. You want to print something? Call a meeting. You want to think about a decision? Call a meeting. It's tough to get anything done. Many layers of bureaucracy and leadership to sort through and much of it is fear driven. The middle layer on the inverted pyramid is afraid of making a mistake so the information that flows to lower levels is always 'what they want to hear' and rarely the truth. Career growth, as long as it means taking on new things without a promotion or more money, is there, but if you want to move up in your career, treat this like a stepping stone. It's a nice place to spend a couple of years before moving on to places that actually get work done.
