Pros

Vacation time Retirement Plan Bonus but they are making it harder to get them.

Cons

This company treats employees horribly. They will use you & give you credit for nothing. Upper management hires and promotes based on individuals they believe are worthy of elite status. In other words, based on class and who you know. They will hire their “chosen ones” into positions despite having zero knowledge of the subject. This leaves veteran employees who are underpaid to teach overpaid managers their jobs. During my time there I was intimidated & threatened if I tried to stand up for my rights. If you have done nothing wrong they will make up things to accuse you of. They fired & ran off so many good people and yet nothing is done because the little people are replaceable. To list all the injustices I witnessed & experienced there would fill a book. They preach SPIRIT values yet have none. Integrity is for the under class at Norfolk Southern. Glad to be free of them & glad I left on my terms.

Pros

Depending on the team you are in, it can be very flexible, and you’ll be working with nice people.

Cons

HR needs to step in more, they are supposed to set a precedent yet it seems like the higher ups in different departments actually set the expectations. Which can be toxic, and some managers clearly don’t know how to manage teams. HR seems to be a nice and fun department, but the rest of the company has lackluster reviews. Also, stop advertising a total rewards package to new hires when you need to work over fiver years to get some benefits and due to the merger they won’t actually get that package. Just raise your base salaries.
