Pros
Large Company. Very stable, due to the high importance of rail as a national mode of transportation. Office Culture is traditional with some progressive leanings. Great Benefits. I highly recommend this company to anyone starting out of college, as the rigid structure of the company creates a great learning environment. If you are a person that is able to settle in for the long haul this is a great company to get in and stay in.
Cons
Due to the size and age of the company it is difficult for them to be as progressive as the market/country is leaning. To be fair they have an eye on technology and advancement, but they are highly bureaucratic. They believe in 'paying dues' and this will require a long term of service and a high possibility of you moving around whether that means geographically or positionally is a per person decision. This is problematic if you want to specialize in a particular area.
