Pros
Co-workers usually understand how you feel
Cons
Everyone is under-paid and over-worked. Administration claims to care and advocate for you, but they are not equipped or motivated to do so. They've gone downhill slowly and steadily over the last 3 years. COVID only made it worse. You have to do more work -- more than you are able to handle as you're overworked in the first place -- in order to get tiny raises (less than 3K) and in order to even be considered for said raises you have to jump through unreasonable hoops. There isn't much mobility, and what's there isn't worth the time/energy versus compensation. They don't care to keep up with inflation. You are replaceable and you're reminded in many ways. No fair pay but hey, there's cupcakes in the breakroom!
