Pros
Most of the people I worked with were nice people. Working in a government job like this you have a lot of job security as its hard to get fired.
Cons
Incredibly hard to move up, due to HR policies because its a job with the state government, its often easier for managers to hire from outside even if someone is qualified inside. Incredibly difficult to get a raise due to the same issues, even if your supervisor wants to give you one.
