We appreciate the feedback. Safety is the number one priority for Northern Air Cargo. In fact, not only is safety listed as our first value, but we have several ways for employees to report safety concerns. We follow up with all safety reports with a corrective action process. Although you didn’t list specific hostile examples, we do have several policies prohibiting retaliation and expect all employees to work in a professional manner. Hopefully you understand “unsafe and hostile” is not a usual comment for us. We invite you to reach out to the Human Resource department to share your specific concerns.

Pros

4-10's work schedule (sometimes), flight benefits, good medical insurance options, employer matched 401k, good place to get experience in the industry before so you can build your resume and work for a better company...if you still want to work in aviation when you're done.

Cons

The company wants to be a large company and compete with larger carriers, but it is not that. Wouldn't be a huge deal, but they treat employees like it's a huge airline and not a small, homegrown Alaskan company. End result is management is disconnected from the workers, nobody seems to care about getting to know employees because there's a sense that high turnover is to be expected. So you get no benefits of working for a small company (like close relationships with managers or a sense of being on a team) and you really don't get benefits of working for a huge company (small workforce so PTO puts everyone in a pinch, no breaks during a 10 hour shift, etc).
