Pros

I love the patient's most of all. The staff is very friendly. We take great care of our patient's. We are able to really take care of our patient's and take the time to address their needs. We are number one in that area and this is the main reason I have stayed here. It really is all about patient care.

Cons

The main con to me is there is only 5 days per year you can call out sick. This includes tardiness. I think 6 tardies per year equals one call out day. Also if you leave before a certain time this is considered a call-out. Which I am amazed nobody has mentioned. I know three co-workers who have been fired over this policy in the past year.

Thank you for your feedback and 8 years of hard work at Northside Hospital. We understand that work-life balance is very important to our employees, it’s important to us, too. Our policy allows employees to automatically accrue PTO to use for vacation, holidays and sick time. You can also transfer hours to another employee or cash out unused hours (up to a certain maximum) at year-end. We hope this information helps.

Pros

I have been privileged to work for Northside Hospital for the past five years, and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. During my tenure, I have benefited from the organization's commitment to employee growth through its annual internal promotion policy, which has allowed me to advance within my current department. One of the aspects I value most is Northside's support for work-life balance and professional development. While working here, I was able to begin my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program from the ground up and am on track to graduate in December 2026. The flexibility and encouragement provided by the organization have played a significant role in helping me pursue my educational goals while continuing to contribute as an employee. I was a full-time employee for most of my career with the organization and recently transitioned to part-time status to accommodate the increased demands of my nursing program. The support and understanding shown by management throughout this process have reinforced my appreciation for the company's employee-centered culture. I am grateful for the opportunities, professional growth, and support I have received over the past five years.

Cons

None that I can think of right now
