Pros
Job security and ability to transfer to numerous facilities owned by them Nursing union
Cons
Turn over rate is very high so we are continuously understaffed and constantly training new staff. The management will then tell the staff there is no overtime (ridiculously insinuating we have anything to do with staffing) and at the same time, staff routinely get stuck doing overtime. Middle managers tire of not being able to staff rooms and asking staff to do overtime while experiencing pressure to not do so. They seem more focused on trying to fill empty slots with the cheapest and therefore (most inexperienced) candidates and then that staff finds themselves in a toxic environment and they leave. This is a corporation that is seriously focused on the bottom line when it comes to paying for quality management. So, we seem to be a managerial training ground and rotating door.
