They'll promise you promotions, salary increases, etc., give you false hope, and then pull the rug under you and make you feel completely dissatisfied and like a horrible person for wanting more. They ask you to give them high ratings on the annual employer Perceptyx survey. If you don't, you suffer the consequences. They'll put together an action plan that leads to work falling on your lap to improve things rather than having leadership take accountability and implement positive change. In fact, rather than trying to implement positive change, they will give you dozens of reasons why we should accept the status quo and why there's nothing wrong with how they're operating.
