I want to provide some ADDITIONAL feedback as my other post was removed, although there is a disclaimer on the Glassdoor website indicating the following: Companies can't alter or remove reviews - which doesn't seem to be true in my case! So here it goes AGAIN...
Northwell needs to address the significant concerns regarding the "newer/new" leadership (within EDS/EPMO) and Deloitte consultants acting as leaders for Northwell, which is negatively impacting both morale and productivity. Several aspects of leadership are currently lacking and need immediate attention to ensure a more positive and effective work environment moving forward for anyone who IS there currently or wants to join Northwell in the future.
Lack of Vision and Direction/Inconsistent Decision-Making: One of the most concerning issues is the absence of a clear vision and strategic direction. Leadership operates without any short-term or long-term goals or a clear path forward. This has led to confusion among teams and employees. A lack of direction leaves employees feeling aimless, directly impacting productivity and engagement. Effective leaders must have a clear vision and set forth goals that are actionable and motivating for Northwell and their teams. When decisions are made without clear reasoning, the appropriate players/teams, or transparency, it damages trust and creates unnecessary stress all around.
Failure to Communicate Effectively: Leaders need to do more than send a "Dear Colleague" email. Communication from Northwell leadership has been lacking or unclear, which has contributed to an atmosphere of frustration and uncertainty.
Toxic Work Environment: Under poor leadership, Northwell has become a toxic environment where micromanagement, favoritism (very obvious if you are still clueless), and lack of respect for others are prevalent. This leads to low morale, high stress, and disengagement. Leaders must foster an environment of respect, transparency, fairness, and mutual support to ensure a healthy workplace culture where employees can thrive. This is more than just a conversation needing to be had with your current manager. It seems like everyone's hands are tied.
