Pros
Most of the workers who were with the company before CHS took over know what a good place this used to be. Pay rate reasonable for the job (but not for the amount of back stabbing drama brought on by infantile management). Was close to home for me.
Cons
Where to begin? I was originally hired to work three twelve hour shifts in the ER, within three days I was thrown into the Urgent Cares, working anywhere from four twelve hour days to five 16 hour days. I found the tenet of this company to be, the bigger a screw up you are, the more you’ll be rewarded Management Willy-Nilly changes policy to fit the situation, causing workers to get into trouble while trying to uphold the original policies. Management also tries to make it seem as though they care about the staff by doing things like randomly choosing one member of each department to have a breakfast meeting with the CEO, but then tells you what to say and not say when you are invited to go.)Management also routinely falsified employee files to make cases against good employees, to get them fired or written up, while doing the same to the lackadaisical ones, to keep them on staff. This was the first job I ever had where I felt no trust in the company I worked for. CHS management has only one goal: money money money. They do not care about their patients or their staff whatsoever.
