Pros
- Well respected company in its field. - Extremely helpful staff and co-workers. - Extensive training and learning opportunities - Flexible work schedule, "Be-your-own-boss" - As a financial rep for NM you are not limited to selling solely NM products, thus you have the ability to "shop around" for clients.
Cons
-You are essentially starting your own business. While ambitious and eventually rewarding your first year of work will be hell. 60-80 hour work weeks to succeed is not unreasonable. -As a sales job your success is built entirely on what market you serve. NMFN stresses the importance of building off your "natural market" (ie. family, friends, etc.). This has several issues that have to be dealt with; such as comfortability selling to people close to you, whether or not you have a good enough market to work with, and in the income ranges of people you associate yourself with. - This job has no base salary. It is commissioned based only.
