Pros

After 5 years of working there I can’t think of anything positive

Cons

Your expected to work Monday -Saturday . Take 1 hour unpaid lunch break with no other breaks in between. Hours are from 9-6 pm and 9:30 to 1:30 pm . However they force you to come in before hours and if you have to stay past hours, you have no choice. Days can be up to 10 hrs long. It’s absolutely horrible trying to ask for a day off, you almost have to beg and even then you may get it. An instructor once asked for the day off because he had to go to a funeral and he was declined the day off. As retaliation. The owner took all his lessons off the schedule for the next few days. So he didn’t have any work. Employees don’t last because they are treated so bad. I was one of the very very few who worked there the longest. The reason I did was because the location was convenient for me at the time. Place is run by family members who. 1 does accounting and uses company money to buy herself things when ordering supplies for work. Somehow there’s always money missing from cash lock boxes. Another takes care of the teen department. She falsifies records to meet the critters of the state because the program the school runs is not structured the way it’s supposed to be. Staff is forced to manipulate the system for teen classes to show as if it is. But then classroom sessions and teen driving lessons are changed. Students are sometimes given certification on driving lessons they did not complete. Instructors are so overworked. Everyone is always angry and frustrated. I can keep going ..

Pros

I love this company so much. I came in fresh out of college (no degree though. Switched majors too much and ran out of money). Anyway, I've been working here for 2.5 years and have gotten 2 major pay increases. It's a family owned business so you get to know everybody really fast and you get to feel close to your coworkers and management, too. And also, you grow so much. Now lookng back, I feel like I didn't know anything when I started. Now I feel like an adult, that can bring value and confidence and great ideas. I'm leaving soon and I'm so sad because it feels like I'm leaving my second family. The ONLY reason I'm leaving is because I'm going back to school to get that degree. I told the owner and I thought it would be hard but she offered to try to connect me with an internship in my field. I could not be more grateful and happy that I took this job and I highly recommend it.

Cons

The cons aren't even that bad but here we go: 1. We have four offices in the Chicago and you get a schedule a week in advance for which office you'll be on different days. When I didn't have a car, it sucked having to take a bus and two trains to get to work. 2. It's highly air conditioned, and I get cold fast. I really like blouses and button ups but I have to wear sweaters everyday otherwise I"ll freeze to death. There are heaters under each death though if it gets too bad. 3, It's extremely busy in the summertime. This is good and bad because the days go by super fast but it can also be stressful trying to do so much at one time and not forget anything.

Pros

People are nice and location is easy to get to.

Cons

They want you to take a day off during the week and then work half-way on saturdays. In the end, you are not eligible for benefits (health insurance for example) because you dont work 40h/week..you work 36.5h/week. It is a scam.
