      Pros

      Benefits. CEO Jack Barto took great care of this organization through uncertain times. There were no layoffs and our benefits remained constant.

      Cons

      Reactive instead of a proactive culture. Education and the Educators are not valued at all. It does not matter if you have an advanced degree, you are still looked upon as just a warm body. Poor retention. Pay is not competitive.

      Pros

      Of all the companies I have worked for Novant has been the best experience. I moved back into leadership after years of having stepped back from leadership due to burnout and frustration. Novant invests more than any company I have seen in both frontline and leader development, with cohesive messaging about priorities. I truly enjoy the teams I work with.

      Cons

      IT was moved to overseas a few years back. They back-pedaled on this and moved some aspects back to domestic coverage, but overall, I can't see where this improves operational efficiency despite surface level savings.
