Pros

Decent pay, friendly supervisors, friendly coworkers, flexible hours, patient focused culture. Company allows nurses to nominate other coworkers to be recognized for performance and sends out emails recognizing winners and nominees which boosts morale.

Cons

PTO accrual is very slow. Clinical supervisors don't always communicate important and pertinent information to case managers. After onboarding, a lot has to be learned independently. There is no holiday pay unless it falls on a day you're normally not scheduled. I worked M-F, so almost all the holidays fell on a day I was normally scheduled, which meant I worked major holidays without holiday pay! I've never worked for a company in all my 23 years as an RN that doesn't pay all its employees holiday pay when working a major holiday.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We truly appreciate your dedication to our patients and your thoughtful feedback on both the highlights and areas for improvement. We're glad to hear you felt supported by your coworkers and supervisors, enjoyed the flexibility of your schedule, and found our Be the Difference program uplifting! Fostering a patient-focused culture and strong team morale are core values we work hard to uphold. We’re sorry to hear you experienced challenges with communication and onboarding. Clear and consistent communication is extremely important to us, and your feedback helps guide improvements in how we support our care teams. Your concerns, especially regarding caseload updates, role transitions, and supervisory support, are being taken seriously and are areas we will focus on. Regarding the holiday pay— we would like to clarify that we do offer holiday pay to our field staff that are required to work on holidays. Many of our patients require care 24/7, 365 days/year care and we ensure that the staff that works on these holidays are paid an additional amount above their hourly rate. If there was any confusion or a discrepancy in your specific case, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our HR team so we can review it further. Thank you again for your contributions during your time with NCP. We wish you the very best in your continued nursing journey.

Pros

As an RN working PRN, I have flexibility to choose my work days. There is a minimum requirement of 12 hours per month. I work in the patient's home as a home health nurse. I enjoy meeting and getting to know my patients and their families, teaching them about their health, and supporting their care journey as part of the health care team.

Cons

Communication between nurses can be sometimes difficult if something is not mentioned during nurses report. But we can always email the case manager or call the nurse if we have a question. I have seen it improved when we have a notebook to log daily cares and concerns in the home.
