Pros
You sell good product no matter what department you're in, and the customers are usually pretty happy to be there. That alone makes work better. They empowered associates to make decisions on the spot if a guest had a need that they knew how to fill (instead of having to always ask permission for every little thing). The company itself promotes from within a lot, so there is growth if you want to cross-train in various departments or become a supervisor, manager, etc. and that's helpful for employees. Healthcare coverage wasn't bad for basic needs. If you like working at grocery stores, this company is probably the best to work for! I really enjoyed me time there, positive coworkers and positive customers.
Cons
It's hard to make a living working here if you aren't in management. It's good for people who are married or have a partner of some kind and have another income to rely on, or for students who either live at home or have some financial aid.
