Pros
The staff/culture is what makes the job so enjoyable. The company does a great job incentivizing good work ethic and associate appreciation. The company does a good job diversifying their staff. Erick St. John will higher people no matter how young or old, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or mental/physical ability, as long as you show drive and work ethic. Management does a good job giving constructive criticism due to their patience and willing to forgive. It is a great job especially if you are in high school or in college.
Cons
There is not a lot of career growth or salaries increase. After 2 years my salary was raised 2 times, and by the end of my time there i only made a few cents more then minimum wage. I think increasing salaries with the wage increase would have been appreciated. As a student it became hard to juggle school, work, and social life, especially because the store had me come in more then my ideal availability. They made it very hard to say No when i would get called in. It often times felt understaffed and a lot of pressure is put on associates.
