Pros
* the people I worked with at Nuveen were wonderful and some have remained life-long friends * they have a very social culture (e.g., mid-summer Cubs outing and December holiday party) * good benefits (good insurance, 401(k) matching, tuition reimbursement, etc.)
Cons
* limited upward mobility * managers are hit-or-miss: I had a great manager in one department and transferred to another department where my manager would call out of the office multiple times a week every week (no joke) and was never reprimanded; in her group there was a 6 person turn-over (out of 4 roles) in 2 years. I mentioned this in my exit interview as one of my main reasons for leaving and, instead of being reprimanded, she was recently promoted to VP. So there's that.
