Pros
Clean, modern office. Always parking.
Cons
This is a glorified call center. The workload is unmanageable. Upper management is dysfunctional and lacks emotional intelligence. There is extremely high turnover because workers are seen as dispensable & replaceable. They are always desperate for new hires. They intentionally hire young adults/ recent college grads for smoother exploitation and slower burnout. Work morale is low. It is obvious HR and management leave positive reviews on job recruitment sites; Otherwise the true rating would be 2 stars. No one is happy working here. Employees will try to express concerns and make suggestions but are always ignored or lied to. These people are not leaders, they are bosses. They do not care that EVERY employee struggles to meet their unrealistic expectations. Case managers drown in caseloads, deadlines, and voicemails. Many cases don’t get the attention they need and eventually get lost. It is clear the bosses value quantity over quality. Another reason of the high turnover is because they have refused to raise wages. One employee has the job of 2 people. Their excuse to not raise wages is because the employer matches their 401k. However, employees must wait 1 year to begin a 401k and 9/10 people quit before then. (Seems intentionally set up that way to save money?) During interviews we are told we would manage 300 cases. Our workloads have always ranged between 400-550. Management does not care if clients verbally harass you, unless they know for a fact there is no $ to pursue in the case. They love to boast about how good benefits are, but they only provide the bare minimum. Only 3 days of sick time for the entire year. 7 hrs PTO per month. Don’t have any hours? Too bad. Unpaid time is not an option. On 2/8/2022, someone else left a review expressing similar concerns. I recommend reading this. I wholeheartedly concur with their perspective. I did not feel valued as an employee. Bosses showed zero appreciation for us, even around the holidays. I had to remind myself to put my mental health first, because these bosses do not. I learned a lot about self-worth. “No matter how precious you are, if you are not in a place that values you, you will not be valued.” This is not how a real law firm would operate. If you have hopes of entering the legal field, perhaps becoming a lawyer, do not work here. You wont gain any legal knowledge. NT employees spend 8 hours on the phone and replying to client’s emails. The appeal process is mindless data input. The only good thing I have to say is about coworkers. The misery becomes more tolerable when you suffer together, and the laughs are good. Management is at the core of all problems. I would NEVER recommend Nyman Turkish to someone looking for an attorney or a job.
