Pros
Depending on where you work at, they will at least be flexible with your schedule. The first store I worked at (Pacific Beach, CA) they gave me hours but never a steady amount of hours, and then they had the nerve to hire another driver when they could have just gave me more hours! The second store I went to did the same thing pretty much, they did give me more hours (significantly), but then when I wanted more hours they hired another person, and I wasn't even asking for full time! Eventually the did give it to me, but that was ridiculous. Who can live like that?! It seemed they just put me wherever they needed me for hours. I don't see why they just don't give everyone steady hours? The hours wavered between 15-19 and then 19-25 hours. Really terrible especially at minimum wage and the amount of loyalty they expect.
Cons
They outright lie about giving you "competitive wages". I been a driver there for almost a year now and when I first started they only gave me $0.25 cents above minimum wage which was $9.75 at the time. You would think that being a driver to deliver for a company that's number two in the auto business would give you a little more than that. To me, competative would be something like $14/15 and hour. I am pretty sure there are other driving companies that pay way more than that. They say they pay by experience but considering my background and clean record, it can't be much. What they competing against? McDonalds?!?!
