Pros

None that at all. Just a careless heartless company.

Cons

Company culture is horrendous. If you aren't an inexpensive developer in exactly what they need at that time, they won't keep you. Think they hired you because you can add value and they'll stand by you? Think again. They do not care about you, your family, or anything you've done for them. They just want to maximize their profits and ring you out until there is nothing left. Want a raise? Think again. What you come in with is what you'll stay at unless you leave. Are the benefits worth it? No. They are industry standard for the area (company paid short term/long term disability, and life insurance). The health insurance is very expensive, there is no sick leave (you only get PTO and everything needs PTO), there is no paid overtime, there is nothing. The culture? They act as if you are a piece of property and they are doing you a favor. Make no mistake, if you drink the koolaid they will be more than happy to take advantage of you and provide absolutely nothing (not even job security) in return for it. Better make sure you keep your LinkedIn and indeed up to date if you decide to work here, you'll need it.

Pros

* Coworkers are all very kind and interesting, bringing different perspectives to the table * Unlimited PTO * While it varies depending on your manager, I've felt supported in my professional growth and like my supervisor genuinely cares about my development. Tuition assistance is available, senior employees will answer your questions, and leadership is easy to reach for career chats and advice. * The office is easily accessible (right by two metro stations and several bus stops, with a lot of parking lots nearby) and is a nice space. Very convenient for DC residents. While this isn't everyone's experience, I like coming in; I get more work done, I feel like I know more people outside of my team, and I learn a lot more about the company * This is both a Pro and a Con depending on how you look at it, but you will be working hard. It's a growing company and you may have to take on more challenges than your peers in other companies, but you will gain more experience, take on more new projects, and develop more new skills than they may have the opportunity to do. * Events are put on (small and large) to encourage community-building and to make people look forward to coming into the office/interacting with their coworkers.

Cons

* Again, it's hard work. If you don't take care of yourself or enforce your boundaries you can get burnt out. Depending on where you're at in life, this may be a deal-breaker for you. * Higher turnover than what you would want to see. It seems like the main cause of people leaving is finding a fully remote job or one closer to where they live if they're not in DC. But it does create a weird vibe

PE takeover with a failing product. I really wanted to see this company succeed.
