      Management places entire focus on patient satisfaction, but fails to support those who actually provide the care. Management at HMMC seems disconnected from the actual needs of the staff and makes decisions based on favoritism and personal biases. Staffing is a nightmare with some days being overstaffed by 7 and others being severely understaffed.

      Pros

      Strict ratios for nurses at this hospital. Med-surg never above 5 patients on day shift. Good 401k matching, good pto.

      Cons

      same issues as most hospital nursing environments. Being over-worked with very sick patients, feelings stretched too thin with less resources each year. that being said, this was a better environment than most hospitals.
