Pros
The pay is on the low side of okay. They have a cafeteria (not free, fyi). Good for someone just looking for medical office experience.
Cons
Push their catholic beliefs on you (including an e-learning for women advising them of alternative methods of "family planning"). Injustice (Ignores complaints of racial slurs but fires a woman who calls the police after a patient threatened to run her down with his car). Dangerous environment (last year, two men were found with meth and guns in one of the lobby bathrooms after hours). Poor COVID-19 response (not advising employees when they've had contact with a positive case, thus allowing it to spread across departments and likely to patients). They. Do. Not. Care. About. Their. Employees. (3 women in my department were going for medical related degrees but took jobs outside of OSF because of how they were treated). Entire hospital is understaffed and overworked. The benefits are a joke. And management are out of touch with reality.
