Pros
I don't have many pros... it's a catholic institution which might appeal to some. Prayer is heard over the loud speaker twice a day.
Cons
OSF only seems to care about making money regardless of the strain on employees to do it. They pay the lowest of the hospitals in the region, they reduced bonus pay to nursing staff, when someone leaves they make remaining staff take on job duties rather than replace the employee... they care more about about image and money than their employees and I feel it everyday when at work. Patient safety is jeopardized when nurses have to take 6, 7 or 8 patients. I've worked here 20 years and was happy for some of it. I don't know what happened 5-8 years ago, but this place and employee morale has really gone downhill.
