Pros

Most of the employees and clinicians are truly dedicated to providing excellent care to our patients. Many go above and beyond what is expected of them on a daily basis, not because they have to, but because they want to! You know, there are a few bad apples out there, but the leaders work to move those folks up or out as best they can. I don't think that is any different than you would find at any other employer.

Cons

It's tough work. After all, we are a teaching hospital, a trauma center, a stroke center, etc. It's not the right environment for everyone.

Degree Requirements and Career Advancement: Many employees express concern that strict degree requirements, especially for IT roles, hinder career progression and demoralize experienced staff without degrees. There is a strong preference for recognizing equivalent experience or certifications in lieu of formal degrees to promote internal mobility and retain talent.
