Pros
The benefits are great. Most of my coworkers are a good group of people. Free snacks and goodies throughout the year. The therapy dogs are always nice to see and pet.
Cons
Turnover rate is high due to horrible management. The communication is lacking. Management is out of touch and it will seem like you’re talking to a brick wall at times. You can tell management about issues but then the “solutions” don’t solve anything. Most “solutions” just cause more issues. People who slack off will never be reprimanded. If you’re a hard worker then you will be penalized for slacking off even if others slack off daily. People can make more than you but yet do nothing day in and day out. You can volunteer for whatever management is asking for but you will never feel appreciated for it. They will just expect you to volunteer every time moving forward. Management will only show up to point out everything that has gone wrong. That’s when you’ll mostly see management. When things are running smoothly the other 98% of the time then no one cares. Extremely toxic and negative work environment. Most departments at OU are mismanaged. I have talked to people from pharmacy, oncology, nutrition, etc. I have seen mass exodus of up to half of some nursing departments. I have ex coworkers who refuse to ever work again for OU in the future and advise all of their friends to stay clear. Most areas are understaffed and most staff are underpaid. I think the biggest turning point for me was seeing my bubbly and happy coworkers become depressed and negative. I just don’t think my mental health is worth this mess. Horrible parking.
