Pros

Clinical experience can be gained.

Cons

Bed bug infestations. Comically low quarterly bonuses with unrealistic and often moving benchmarks for raises and performance reviews. Packed schedule (12-16 patients daily) with expectation to discuss and document roughly 4-20 chronic or suspected conditions per patient encounter of only 30 minutes. Zero mentorship or career growth even if you have advanced degrees, unless You’re positioned in leadership.

Fairly good benefits given that the companies run by CVS, Nice, clean place to work with people who generally care about elderly and disabled individuals. $3000 tuition reimbursement per year.

Cons

Pay is very low for some positions, including mine. Juneteenth not recognized as a federal holiday. Hours are 8 AM - 5 PM, sometimes earlier and sometimes later, depending on when patients finish. Patients can be difficult to contact and deal with.
