Predatory Practices - Practice Manager Oak Street Health Employee Review

I was a practice manager and there was no work/life balance - sure, I got above market pay, but that was given with the expectation that I would work 60-70 hours per week and skip lunch on a daily basis. The company's "corporate credit card" is a joke - they put it in your name, it's on your credit report as a new/open account, and you are responsible for paying the balance every month, they will reimburse you. I opted to use my own personal credit card - this was used to purchase basic supplies for the clinic, I was running up $1200+ per month and their reimbursement is so slow I got stuck paying interest. My boss was/is completely and utterly incompetent - he had zero experience in the field and had never managed people in his life. He was an overbearing micro-manager and one of the main reasons I left that job. I find the practices of this company to be predatory. They only service seniors and make their money through running a full risk Part B program - it is in this companies best interest to steer their elderly patients to a Humana HMO Medicare plan...it is not in the patient's best interest - the plans are AWFUL with high deductibles, high co-insurance, and super limited networks. There is even a role at this company where the specific duty is to talk vulnerable seniors into joining an inferior Medicare plan to help with the company's bottom line. If you have a soul, this company won't sit well with you. The thing that always got me is how they disguised this ugly thing they did under a mask of "rebuilding healthcare as it should be." They also are fine to walk on, and in some cases, cross the line when it comes to Medicare/healthcare laws. I know of several clinics that were/are straight up giving patients gift cards for coming to appointments - in my world that is called inducement. No doctor's office should have to pay patients to come to their clinic. The insane focus on growth above everything else told me that this company is just a Harvard boy's investment, meant to be grown and sold to the highest bidder. I'm not willing to invest myself in that.
