First, it's a 100% fear based culture. They treat employees like disposable objects and not like human beings. If you make one perceived mistake you are gone.
Second, HR is completely running the show, not the managers. This is the result of the fear based culture. Even DMs are afraid to make decisions so they pass the decision making on to HR. You can't blame them. Even the DM will be fired for one perceived mistake. Unfortunately, HR is just getting it so wrong.
Third, no one wants to work there. They just landed there because their previous employer went out of business or their position was eliminated. No employee says "we" when referring to OCJL. Only "we" at Staples used to or "we" at Khols would. That's very telling.'
I'm sure you are reading a lot of reviews. But stop. Just stop. And think about what I wrote. If you are just looking for some job, then go ahead and apply. If you are looking for a place to be happy then move on.
