Pros

Great health insurance Time off between Christmas and New Years Company hires recent grads with no experience

Cons

OSI has communication problems between managers and employees. Managers expect you to read their minds. There’s no training, however, managers become upset if they feel you aren’t performing well. Lots of micromanaging due to the lack of adequate training. There’s finger pointing and blame games between departments heads. Unfortunately the gossip contributes to the toxic environment. Very few pay increases. Most department heads have been there 20+ years, they aren’t going anywhere so there’s no room for career advancement. The pay is low, often starting around 40k-45k/yr. The bonuses are laughable, except for department heads. They only way to make decent money here is to work 60+ hours a week. Work/life balance is poor. Working only 40 hours a week is frowned upon and management will pressure you into working weekends or late evenings. If you’re recently married or have children at home, be prepared to never see your family. Overall: OSI is a job, not a career.
