Pros

Very knowledgable upper management that teaches a by-the-book way of running precise hydrographic surveys.

Cons

Low pay, very poor balance between personal life and work, and a misplaced appreciation for the employees that are hardworking in exchange for rewarding useless brown-nosers.

Great people to work with. On the water all day. Visit lovely coastal towns and cities, always something new.

Cons

usually away from home for long periods of time and schedule can be last minute
