Pros

Lots of units and opportunities to change/experience different specialities

Cons

So short-staffed but instead the hospital just continues to expand and open more beds. They do not act or show that they care for their staff, they pretend to listen to concerns but takes ages to respond with solutions or plan for improving. They do not enforce rules or discipline and they put way too much responsibilities and task requirements on the nurses

Pros

The mentorship I received at Ochsner was amazing. Across multiple departments, I met kind, professional people willing to share their experiences and offer advice and insight. I enjoyed this position, and learned a lot about IT operations.

Cons

It was difficult to learn on days where work was fully remote- I much preferred in person.
