Pros
You can learn a lot under the right team. My team was chill. Met some very smart individuals.
Cons
1. Pay pay pay. Organization is notorious for low pay because it's a "privilege" to work there. 2. They do not care about you as an individual! They push the agenda and make you think they do but THEY DO NOT. No one is your friend (especially upper management). - This is especially indicated from the recent layoffs. They let go of essential staff needed to maintain the work and threw it on the one's they didn't let go. What was overshadowed but is equally if not more disappointing were the amount of leaders that were demoted to takeover for the employees let go. Many of these individuals dedicated their lives to Ochsner because they push the "family" agenda. Many people that spent decades at the company were tossed like trash. - Nearly entire teams were laid off leaving a single individual to work in the department for the hospitals. 3. Again similar to above, do not trust anyone. I had someone I believed was a friend and they threw me under the bus for their own gain (a leader). 4. They will promote those they are closer to and have been around longer instead of those who are competent and work better. Needless to say those who were more competent and knew it left.
