Pros
Name recognition is the only perk to working for Ochsner.
Cons
The microbiology lab is a clique full of old women who are still mad they weren't popular in high school. If you like to be left alone to do your work in peace or value your privacy, this is not the place for you. You will be harassed, bullied, and needled at every chance and if you deny the bad actors their fun by not responding, changing where you eat your lunch, or reporting them for their multiple policy violations, bullying, and ninety-minute lunches (plural, they will take at least three), you become the problem. The clique will actively sabotage your work to generate complaints from other shifts. Innocuous things like exactly which space you park in, not clocking in on exactly the start of the hour when your shift begins, exactly how long you take in the bathroom, where you place your food in the break room fridge, and the route you take from the parking lot to the lab become massive, world-ending issues to create a paper trail to fire you in retaliation. None of it is worth the insulting pay of only $19/hour with the worst diffs that don't even cover the taxes on the shifts that get them.
