Pros
-Work life balance. It is a fully remote company which allows for flexibility. This is the number 1 thing they got going for them. - US Benefits: 100% 401k match up to 4%, decent time off/holiday. - The people you work with care deeply about their subject matters and support you. - If you have a good idea, it can be heard and brought to life in a product.
Cons
- c-suite directives with no actual direction. They talk in high level marketing tech bro talk without any realization of what they are talking about or how the organization actually works down at the working level. They seem to hire c-suite executives and higher managers with past lawsuits, litigations, and conflicts of interest. Makes me feel uncomfortable knowing that they trust our reputation with people who have shady past. - Underfunded teams. I’ve had half my team leave and they will not allow us to replace them, but they expect output to be the same. (Justifying AI should pick up the slack) - no real pathway to management. - Bonuses are a thing, but not everyone gets one. They are inconsistent with who gets what. I don’t get one but my fellow coworkers do. When I asked about it, I was told it wasn’t really big enough to worry about. If you’re about to get hired, ask about bonuses or you will miss out like me. - they are going through massive reorganization due to our split from Hexagon. This has caused alot of confusion, frustration, and all out chaos when it comes to how we function. We are leaning away from agile scrum and more towards the failed Spotify squad model with no apparent justification. - They have products that sort of compete with themselves and there’s a lot of internal politics on which of those products gets resources, certain features, etc. - Pay is low compared to the average of other tech companies.
