Pros
They offer base salaries and standard benefits; they have a decent company culture; snacks; and their might be room to grow depending on when you were hired.
Cons
1. The office is located in a business park on a swamp and it is very difficult to get to. If you don’t own a car, probably want to consider a different place to work. 2. They offer a commission plan but now that all of the inbound leads have dried up there is no possibility of hitting quota, it’s extremely difficult to hit the minimum threshold of $3,500/month to make commission. This is the second month in a row where two people will be hitting quota, and that’s out of 20+ sales reps. All success here is luck. Hard luck. 3. If hired, you will be cold calling car dealerships. These guys hate Offer Up and they hate being called - they have had thousands of sales people calling everyday and our prices are the same as car gurus (the marketing platform which is virtually monopolizing the market) and no one wants to spend astronomical prices. 4. Management is pretending that nothing is happening and are pointing fingers at employees for not putting up enough effort metrics. Very frustrating conversations with leadership especially when they refuse to address the issue and are well aware of what’s going on. 5. They keep hiring?!?! The remaining inbounds are being spread even thinner and newbies are dialing their lives away for base salary dollars. Sorry dudes and dudettes! 6. Chances are stock won’t be worth anything since sales will completely dwindle down after one year launching new verticals. 7. The sales team is the only team in the company that has capped PTO and is required to clock in. They use terms like “meal break” and “time sheet”. Apply at Amazon!
