Leadership does not value quality support for our patients. Profit seems to take the priority. They don’t take care of their people.
On-call support to patients and families who call in after hours is spotty at best. They outsource to a call center so patients/families have to leave a message and it is not uncommon for several hours and in some instances days to go by before on-call staff call back to assess the situation. Concern has been raised over and over and nothing has been done.
We were made to be excited about a mileage reimbursement increase in May since the rate since the merger has been well below federal guidelines. They only increased mileage by few cents and it wasn’t put into effect until a full month after it was promised to go into effect. Mileage remains around 20 cents less than federal.
Rather than growing the psychosocial support provided to patients and families they cut 3 positions (2 social workers and 1 chaplain) leaving 3 people--recent hires no less-without a job.
The company clearly prioritizes profit over quality care.
