Pros

Generally speaking, most staff at the fast lube locations are great people and hard working.

Cons

As a former Manager, I can confidently say that the COO is very difficult to work for. After the initial honeymoon with the COO, things get more difficult. Expect to increase Car Count, Ticket Average, and Total # of Customers consistently...regardless of economy woes, weather, outdated equipment, limited training, etc etc etc. All locations are outdated (ie: need remodeling badly...graphics on the wall are something from the 80's, exterior of buildings are in need of paint and repairs badly, no modern features/conveniences are available for customers....vending machines, free coffee, wifi...a novel idea, a tv in the wait room, etc etc etc). Expect that you will average 70-80hrs wk+ with 1200 miles+ driven on your personal vehicle. A gas card and free oil changes are provided. But, you can't get back the miles or wear and tear on your vehicle. There are NO bonuses. Medical and dental are provided and a company cell (expect to take calls anytime...really). You will be expected to make repairs to automotive tools/equipment, the overall store (trust me you will do painting), auto lifts, possibly a car wash or two, landscaping, etc....the list goes on and on. The company is cheap and doesn't want to pay for regular maintenance that is necessary to keep the stores operational. Plan on being a jack of all trades and expected to be a master at everything. I could write for days about the issues of the company. Watch your back...if a customer has a problem with their vehicle (called a warranty claim)...you are held directly responsible for someone else's error. No exceptions. This 1 thing (warranty claims) has been the reason so many excellent people have been forced out over the years. With 350k+ vehicles serviced yearly...problems are bound to happen once in a while. Even with less than a 1-2% warranty claim average...expect to be canned. I've seen it and experienced it. It doesn't matter what you've done for the company. This is something that is out of everyone's control.

Pros

Acquired a lot of skills due to rapid growth.

Cons

Understaffing, overworking, not valued. The company says your “family” and then takes advantage of hard workers.
