Don't go here....don't do it. - Assistant Manager Customer Operations Old Navy Employee Review

Upper management was AWFUL. They treated us managers terribly. Constantly being micromanaged and belittled us. Constantly questioning why we weren't able to make goals. Old Navy opened a brand new store less than 10 minutes away from ours. We lost a ton of business and therefore struggled to make goals. We would ask for help but never received it. I was personally told that I should have honored a coupon after a customer called me a fat b****. Numerous employees reported one district manager to HR with no changes. I also was yelled at for reporting an associate who was in emotional distress with intentions to act on those stressors. I reached out to HR and was told (by my district manager) that I should have reached out to her instead, as HR has "other problems to deal with". I didn't want to be held accountable for something to that extreme. I was in shock when my DM told me that as again, it would have been on me for not reporting it correctly. I would never recommend this place as a manager unless you enjoy being micromanaged, being called on your days off and unnerving amount of stress.
