Pros

Location -- The main NY office is centrally located in midtown Manhattan. It's a subsidiary of an established public company and provides an opportunity to get a foot in the door at Marsh & McLennan.

Cons

There is a micro-class system within the firm, non-revenue generating staff are treated differently. Diversity within certain departments and practices needs to be addressed, both gender and culture based. Management is rogue across the board and operations are far from transparent. Most management positions are grandfathered which creates assumptions that loyalty is valued over job performance. Honest general feedback is scrutinized and in extreme cases used against you. This is the epitome of the ugly side of politics.

Pros

Good culture, solid pay, good benefits

Cons

Same as with most big companies. HR a little too focused on DEI and feel good inclusion initiatives over things that matter to most employees and clients. Top management messaging is generic and seems forced. But all senior leadership seem fairly genuine and good people vs. hyper focused on dollars alone.
