EHR or encoder down, not paid for this time and time must be made up outside of your schedule hours of availability that is mandatorily sent to management each week prior to the following work week.
PTO can and will be denied even if following company policy/requesting even further in advance than policy requires.
Things that were considered educational findings on audits in my past (findings not affecting DRG, unrelated Z codes) were counted as points deducted repeatedly. Lots and lots of incorrect audit findings (not paid for excess time reviewing the audit) sometimes would agree and other times auditors do not budge even when supported by research and other auditors agreeing with coder. Management may also agree with coder but the findings/audit score will not change. Management seemed as frustrated with auditing as coders. Because of this and constant changing between facilities, productivity and accuracy are not obtainable.
